The Easter Weekend is upon us and whether you do the whole Easter vibe or not, there is plenty to keep you and the family entertained throughout the long weekend. Here’s our pick of the top things to do in Jozi over this weekend.

Future Park at Silver Star Casino has been getting rave reviews all over the media and with it closing on 8 April 2018 there is limited time to still go check it out.  With installations designed by Tokyo University graduates Art comes to life in front of your children’s eyes.  Installations include sea creatures created by children projected onto screens where the creatures come to life, your child’s drawing is created into 3D paper crafts, children play a light-ball orchestra where balls change colours and make orchestral sounds as the balls interact with the children.  With these and so much more its guaranteed to keep the family entertained for hours.  Get the full details at www.futureparks.co.za.

For the little ones, Peppa Pig Live in South Africa kicks off a short run at Empowers Palace from 29 March to 2 April 2018.  The show promises to be a fully immersive theatre experience with life-sized puppets singing all the favourite sing-a-long jingles that have made this little pig and her family.

Get a whole new take on Easter with the Easter Folk Market & Fairy Festival on Saturday at The Forest Venue in Walkerville.  A day out in the Forrest with the fairies, folk music, kite decorating, giant bubbles, zip lines and much more to enchant the whole family.  For full details go to www.intheforest.co.za or their Facebook Page.

The Rosebank Sunday Market is hosting a special Easter day with a range of free activities for the kids.  From 11am to 2 pm children can enjoy Easter Egg Hunts, Musical Chairs, Cup Cake Decorating and Doughnuts on a String.  Of course, there is nothing like stopping for lunch at one of their many global food stalls.

On 2 April 17 is the much anticipated Family Picnic Presented by Kiddies Rainbow Festival at the Vosloorus Stadium.  Look forward to giant slides, carnival rides, kiddies cartoon characters and most importantly a day out with the family.  Kiddies Rainbow festival was started in mid-2017 but have already become an institution wherever they go.

Have a wonderful long weekend.
